Are you sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin. This is a course all about storytelling. You will learn how to tell a story that is engaging, interesting, and above all, entertaining.
You will be encouraged to pick a story and then develop that story into a small drama piece. You will have the chance to make use of props to illustrate your tale and learn all about the story-making process.
You will develop skills in decision-making and prediction. You will need to keep things in your memory in order to tell others later and you will gain confidence by choosing, telling, acting and participating in familiar stories.
We discuss which stories we are going to tell for the following week. All have a chance to suggest a story and develop ideas of how to improve the telling.
Stories often have a moral whether that is, how not to get lost, how to feed yourself, how to trust your instincts. By looking at the moral of the story, many of these elements can be discussed.
